How I learn the new profession
I decided to take my career development in the field of data analysis seriously, so I had to apply the learning methodology to design the program and take into account something called the forgetting curve.
It discourages and demotivates me a little to take several courses at the same time, because in a normal situation, it's more logical and enjoyable to take courses one after another.
But I'm learning a new profession and I can't apply the knowledge immediately, so I need this approach and I'll explain why.
There isn't a single course that completely satisfies all my educational needs and is structured according to the teaching methodology.
For this reason, I study as if I were in school. I have different courses throughout the week. I dedicate time to them as if they were regular classes and study all the subjects - courses simultaneously.
I don't like doing it this way and I prefer to apply the acquired knowledge in practice immediately, and I like receiving a certificate at the end of the course, which gives me a lot of satisfaction. However, since I have no other options, I'm forced to postpone the serotonin reward at the end of each course and take into account the forgetting curve of information and study as if I were in school.
Sometimes I have to stop at a certain stage of the course because I realize I can't continue without additional practice and theory in that field. In such cases, I put the course on "pause" and study the necessary material. For example, in an advanced data analysis course, there was an introduction to Python. Although I know Python at a basic level, this "introduction to Python" was quite complicated with the use of pandas and numpy libraries. Of course, I completed the final project for that month, but I did it without a full understanding, constantly referring to the examples from that section of the course.
As always, I invite you to share your opinion in the comments
